Delete your account

You can delete your In The Rhythm account at any time. Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone.

In the app

Open In The Rhythm, go to your profile, choose Delete account, and confirm with your password. The deletion happens immediately.

By email

If you have already uninstalled the app, email support@intherhythm.org from the address on the account with the subject line Delete my account. Include the username so we can find it. We will confirm once it is done.

Parents can request deletion of a child's account from the email address used to create it.

What gets deleted

• Your login and your profile, including your username
• Every practice session you have logged, including reflections
• Any connection codes you generated
• The links between your account and any teacher or musician
• Any feedback you sent us, including screenshots you attached

What we keep, and why

• If you are a teacher, the preset comments you left on a musician's practice logs stay on their logs, with your name removed. They are part of that musician's own record, and they will disappear when that musician deletes their account.
• Deleted data can persist in encrypted database backups for up to [BACKUP RETENTION]. It is not accessible in the app and is overwritten when the backup expires.
