In The Rhythm, in plain words

Version 1.0. Last updated 30 August 2026. Effective from 1 September 2026. This is a short summary of the Privacy Policy, written especially for readers aged 13 to 17. The full policy always wins if the two ever disagree.

What we keep. Your practice sessions: when, how long, your ratings, and anything you write about them. Your username and display name. Your weekly focus line. Your settings. Your age is kept as a band (13 to 17, or 18 plus) plus the date you move up, and that date does reveal your birth month and year, so we say so instead of pretending otherwise.

Who can see it. You, and any teacher you connect. A connected teacher reads what you submit, exactly as you wrote it. Drafts stay yours alone. Nobody else can find you: there is no search, no feed, no public profiles, and no messaging.

You control connections. A teacher can only join you through a code you generate. It dies in 24 hours and works once. You can disconnect or block at any time, and a blocked teacher is never told.

What a teacher can write. One comment per session, picked from 25 fixed phrases, and your focus line, up to 200 characters. The focus line is filtered, every version is kept for up to 12 months, and you can report it right from the card. The only other thing of theirs you see is their display name, checked for links and phone numbers rather than for wording.

If something feels wrong. Report it from the thing itself. A real person reads reports, and we aim to reply to safety reports within about 3 working days. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

Analytics. Off until you say yes. Saying no changes nothing. Nothing at all is sent before you answer, we never nudge you, and Settings is where you change your mind.

Your parent or guardian. At signup you confirmed they read the rules and said yes. We keep nothing about them, not even their name, and we will never contact them.

Deleting. Settings, Delete Account, gone at once and forever. There are no backups, so deleted really means deleted. A few safety records last up to 12 months, and the policy lists every one.
